John Estrada Emerged Champion Of 14th Goma Cup
John Estrada emerged as the overall champion of the 36-hole tournament of the 14th Goma Cup: A Reunion at Fairways and Bluewater Resort Golf and Country Club in Newcoast, Boracay held last April 22 - 25. John snatched away a P1.1 million-worth Omega Double Eagle Constellation watch as given during the culmination party held on the eve of April 24th.

Goma Cup is Richard Gomez’ brain child, envisioning that the tournament would provide an avenue for the celebrities both to have fun and develop camaraderie, which would ultimately cause the entertainment industry to have unity.
It was definitely a success, even extending the games to water sports for celebrities who don’t play golf. They were grouped into four, which were led by actors Jeremy Marquez, Bernard Palanca, Paolo Paraiso, and Ernie Lopez for each team. They all had fun playing Aquavolley, Paddlesurf, Water Polo, Instawake, and Beach Frisbee.
Douglas Quijano, a talent manager won the P400,000-worth titanium Omega watch in a raffle when nobody achieved the “hole in one” feat. Nice pize! ![]()
